Please join us for a collaboration between Kim West and Heidi Duckler Dance.
At magic hour, we'll become phosphoric, luminescent pollen poufs and journey through the ruins at the Old Zoo.
This collaboration between Kim West and Heidi Duckler seamlessly blends visual art and performance,
enriching the narrative of the historic location of 'The Old Zoo'.
UNFURLiNG animates the ruins, fostering empathy for past inhabitants. The centerpiece is Kim West's triptych made up of a tiled mural, sculptural fabric flows, and an arrangeable flora tableau. Temporarily installed at the Old Zoo ruins, West's work forms a backdrop for this mobile performance production featuring three HDD dancers and drifting musicians, engaging the audience in a dynamic, immersive experience.

PICNIC TABLES IN THE OLD ZOO PICNIC AREA HAVE BEEN RESERVED FOR OUR EVENT BUT ARE FIRST COME FIRST SERVED
THERE WILL BE A STAFFED TABLE WHERE YOU MAY LEAVE YOUR PICNIC BELONGINGS DURING THE 7 PM PERFORMANCE IF DESIRED. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO RETURN BELONGINGS TO YOUR CAR PLEASE ALLOW TIME!
IF YOU HAVE LOW BEACH CHAIRS, YOU MAY CARRY THEM ALONG WITH YOU TO USE AT THE PERFORMANCE SITES. ON SITE THERE WILL BE FIRST COME FIRST SERVED STOOLS AND PERSONAL FABRIC GROUND MATS.
CONSIDER YOUR FOOTWEAR! UNEVEN PARK TERRAIN, LOTS OF GROUND SQUIRREL AND GOPHER HOLES!
USHERS WILL HAVE FLASHLIGHTS TO HELP GUESTS EXIT POST PERFORMANCE, BUT IT GETS DARK QUICK UP IN THE PARK POST SUNSET SO YOU MAY WANT TO BRING A FLASHLIGHT.
